1) I disagree that life in Vietnam would be perfect if everyone were totally equal. I think that equality is not a good idea. For example, in the story that we've read in class, "Harrison Bergeron" those ideas had pull people intelligent down and the H-G didn't let them think properly in order to make everyone equal. That is why I don't think Vietnam would be perfect if everyone were totally equal.
2) If I'm the one who designing a society in which everyone is equal, I will make the laws positive (which is opposite in the story). I will make the people think what they want in a positive way. For example, if one person is good at Math, and the other is good at Language Arts, they will help each other and make everyone equal.
3)I will encourage them, and cheer them up. I will help with what they think they are not good at.
4) There are people that are smarter than others, so they become more successful. Those that are not smart or the poor will not successful as the one that is rich. There will be some laws that we need equality and some not, so I will change that.
5) I think that sometimes equal is good since there are too many unfair things happening in the world. There are other times, when I think that people that born into this world have different talents. Each talent helps them to be successful in different ways. If everyone is equal, then they cannot show their real talents to the world.
6) When George had to wear handicap radio in his ear and listen to those noise for every 20 seconds and suddenly forget everything. It's the same to me when Mr. Blake made the noise. Also whenever I'm concentrate on something, and my mom walks to the room without noticing. It makes me forget everything.
Another example can be, when Hazel was watching her son died on TV, she cried and forget it quickly after that. Just like my mom, there were times when my mom was watching movie on TV, and she started to cry. I ask her why, but then she suddenly forgot.

Homework for November 2nd
How does advertising influence consumption?
- Advertise only shows the good side of the products, but not the bad side of the products. How they advertise the good side of the products make people want to buy that products.
Do you think citizens are sufficiently informed about the sustainability of our consumption habits? If not, how can we become more informed about sustainability issues?
- I don't think citizens are sufficiently informed about the sustainability of our consumption habits. I think the way that we can become more informed about sustainability issues is to advertising about sustainability. That way when they see that advertisement, they would understand about sustainability issues.
Do you think these advertising techniques influence what you and your friends purchase?
- Yes, because when I look at a advertisement, I will decide whether to buy that product or not. Also, I will look at the way they advertise that product, and whoever acts/do that advertisement/commercials

Migration/Immigrant Assignment
Migration/Immigrant Assignment
I was in my room reading a book, and suddenly heard my cousin yell. Her mom told her she had to immigrate to Canada and live with her grandparents, but my cousin didn’t want to. This is an external migration, because she was moving from country to country. Her mom tried to convince her by telling her that she would go to good school with lots of new friends. That was the pull factors, which she could get better services, and good environment. In Vietnam , the weather here was not so good, because sometimes it got really hot, and sometimes it too rainy. These were the push factors, which were because of the climates and the environment. The moment my cousin heard her mom say that, she wanted to migrate there. After a long time, she became a citizen.
In school, she didn’t talk much, because she didn’t get used to the environment yet. She thought it was a bad idea for coming here. Now, after a long time, she gets used to it. She met new friends, new teachers, talked to them just like she did in Vietnam . She told me it was great, and she loved here. She thought Canada was the most wonderful country. Even though, sometimes she did forgot Vietnamese cultures, languages, but still she found out the ways for her to remember it. Sometimes she misses Vietnam a lot, but she knew that her mom wanted her to stay here for good things, and this was the best choice her mom had made it for her.

A Message From Mother Nature?
1. What is the main point of this article?
- The main point of this article is how the global warming effects the environment
2. Vocabularies:
- Drought- a period of dry weather
- Monsoon- any wind that changes direction with the seasons
- Dispute- argument about something important
- Perception- apprehending (understanding)
3. Weather- something that happens over a short period of time (rain, snow, etc.)
Climate- something that happens over a long period of time (Vietnam : wet and dry climate)
4. Torrential monsoon rains in Pakistan caused flood
In the United States , flooding battered New England , Tennessee , Arkansas , and Oklahoma
A record-breaking heat wave baked the entire eastern part of the country
5. These days in Ho Chi Minh City it rains everyday, and almost like heavy rain, so even some of the streets are flood.
6. Perception means understanding something.
7. My perception of global climate change is the Earth’s get hotter. If people don't want global warming to happen, they have to start to save the earth by doing little things like: save energy (use less), stop cutting down the trees, reuse the papers, water bottle, boxes, and more. By doing these little jobs, it saves the Earth a lot.

UNICORN LAND
My “world” named Unicorn. Do you know why I called that the Unicorn Land? Because of the shape of the country, and also a lot of unicorns live there. People use unicorns as their transportations. One hundred years ago, people came to Mahani forest, where the unicorns used to live, and they cut down all the trees. So the Unicorns decided to move to the different places. At that time, “Unicorn Land” was just a small island, so the Unicorns came to this island to live, because no one has heard of this island before. Also, this small island was not on the maps. This island was surrounded by Lattetania and the Blood Sea.
One day, there was a person who traveled around the world, and he was lost in this island, where the unicorns live. His name was Hatami Onicon. He was the first person who came to the Unicorn Land. He expanded this land, and put this “world” on the maps. He divided this island into 4 different countries: SHINEwol, SoOne, Cassiopeia, and VIP. The biggest country was Cassiopeia, and the capital of this is Dong Bang which means east. The most famous country was also Cassiopeia because of they make good chocolate, and they have nice atmosphere.
People started to come here to live, because here have a lot of forests, mountains, and nice air. Kids really love this place, because they can eat chocolate and drink chocolate everyday without getting sick. People here only eat and drink chocolate, not like other countries, they eat different kind of foods. That is why there is a Chocolate River flows from SHINEwol all the way to VIP, and that is the longest rivers in this “world”. And the highest mountain is Superunican Mt (above Cassiopeia), it about 9,000 meters tall. There are few of people who lived there, because it too cold. On the top of mountains are all chocolate. People can’t eat
these chocolate because it never melts.
My Unicorn Land and Cattletinra had a fight. We fight for 3 islands which are: Denndash, Unicanoe, and Cattletinrany. We, both like to have those islands, but we can’t decided who will have it, so we fight. We won two of three islands, and the Cattletinra only won one (Cattletinrany).
Although this island have excellent environment, but sometimes the people from SHINEwol have to bear the tsunami. Each year, it happens once, the people here can’t bear it anymore, so they moved to others countries to live.
